Maxima Maytag Washer Door Locked

The door should unlock after 60 seconds.

Unplug the washer then pull the top panel of the washer straight back up and off. When using one of these cycles the door will remain locked until the cancel button is pushed. Pull down on this tab and then open the door. Run a drain and spin cycle.

After 8 minutes the door will unlock. The door lock secures the washer door shut during operation. Reconnect power to washer plug in. There is a pull tab at the bottom of the door latch which will manually unlock the door.
